Luckily there are plenty of websites that host AI for free, and models that are increasingly becoming able to be able to run on personal compute.





If you can't afford $20/mo to get ChatGPT what makes you think you'd have the technical skill to setup a locally hosted LLM?

Not sure what the relevance is - there's free versions of that, not to mention Gemini and co. In any case what you're saying is true again, of any productivity tool.

Wealth and skill are not necessarily proportional.

They're tightly linked in technical domains. My point is if you can't even afford to pay for these tools there is slim chance you have the ability to deploy one locally.
