This article would be much more interesting if they showed that the AMP version of the page actually was slower than the non-AMP version. Instead, they just say that Google's Page Speed score is lower for the AMP version. But _nobody_ cares about the Page Speed score - it's just a rough proxy for user experience. The author of the article, however, doesn't do anything to look at actual user experience.
