If you develop an alpha signal, and you collect your data on the site through backtesting, then that is part of your IP provided it isn't a copy CQ provided proprietary or licensed data (Market Data, Alt-Data, Fundamental Data...)

We do limit the size of downloads to ensure that you are not copying these licensed data sets.
