Fine-tuning as a supervised learning process ensures that the model understands and generates content that is highly relevant to a particular task. For example, when I fine-tuned language models used for sentiment analysis, their accuracy improved significantly. Whereas RAG with MyScale provides models with a broader knowledge base, enabling them to generate more contextualized and accurate responses, it faces challenges related to the quality and relevance of the retrieved information.
MSTG combines the best parts of both hierarchical graph and tree structures in its design.
A graph algorithm excels at initial convergence, and is usually faster at unfiltered search. However, its efficiency is severely hampered in filtered search. On the other hand, tree algorithms are slower and have lower accuracy for unfiltered search, but tree traversal is unaffected by filtered elements and retains performance for filtered search, as illustrated in the figure below. Therefore, combining these two algorithms in MSTG yields high performance and high accuracy for both cases and achieves fast index build time.
I'm excited to share my latest project, personalities.me, which offers a fresh take on MBTI personality tests by integrating AI-driven characters and distinct narrative styles.
What makes this unique?
- Elon Musk's Tone: We've designed our personality test questions in the style of Elon Musk, offering an engaging twist to traditional MBTI assessments.
- Meet Miguel from JanitorAI: Alongside the Elon Musk-style questions, users can also interact with Miguel, a popular character from JanitorAI known for his sarcastic wit.
- Indie Development: Built as an indie project, personalities.me reflects a fusion of passion for personality psychology and innovative tech implementation.
I'd love to hear thoughts, feedback, or questions from the Hacker News community. Whether you're interested in MBTI, AI characters, or the technology behind crafting unique narrative tones, I invite you to explore personalities.me.
With continuous efforts to incorporate feedback, I've refined the homepage to clarify vague slogans and ambiguous product descriptions that were initially causing confusion about the product's purpose. This focused effort has paid off, and I've made my first sale!
However, I'm at a crossroads in terms of attracting a wider audience. As a newbie in the indie scene, I'm eager to hear from experienced folks.
What channels or strategies have worked for you? How did you grow your initial user base? Any insights would be invaluable.
I’ve just launched my first indie project, personalities.me, inspired by tutoredtrip.com. Built in a whirlwind two days, it’s my exciting entry into the indie world.
Simple Stack:
- OpenAI for LLMs
- Vercel for platforms
- Resend for emails
- Next.js for full-stack
- Tally.so for surveys
The website is quite rudimentary, and for an engineer with a background in backend development, it was no small feat. The functionality is also very simple, but I believe it’s a meaningful start.
I’m eager to connect with those interested in this space and would love any advice on reaching out.
Here’s to the start of my indie journey. Feedback and support are welcomed and appreciated!
