I prefer the “rather old interface” over whatever this is. Whats the point of so much whitespace? On the desktop screenshot, only two downloads are visible in the window. In any decent client you would see at least 10 times as many. Stop this obsession with wasting the user’s screen real estate, I do nit want to buy an even bigger display

Funny and sad I successfully guess it's JavaScript and bullshit look given the "modern" label.

Defaults to bright mode. Well, I say defaults - is there a dark mode? Why don't all sites support a switch, defaulting to dark in case you don't want to blind yourself?

By whitespace I was referring to empty space. The colour of that empty space is irrelevant here

Usually you can just tell the user's preference via css..? Its builtin.

From the article, you have to search the web, or:

- Read or send an email;

- Use Google Drive;

- Watch a YouTube video;

- Download an app on the Google Play store;

- Use Sign in with Google to sign in to a third-party app or service.

I'm pretty sure neither of my alt accounts are in danger, despite not using them to search, ever.

If (auto-)forwarding an email counts as an account being active, it's easy enough to route emails to a common account.

Be sure to also set to delete messages in the origin inbox.

We'll see if that works when the warning notifications start.

I think the same every time I see reddit posts here. I come here to escape the constant reposts, fake and low quality posts, 0 value comments on Reddit. And then some users decide it's time to make HN into a reddit repost archive. As for the actual post, it sounds super fake to me, and I really hope it is.
